Overview

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification is to develop strategic management and leadership skills for managers who have the authority and personal attributes to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. This qualification reflects current practice in Strategic Management and Leadership and allows learners to develop and expand their high-level understanding of strategic management and leadership in the workplace. This qualification is suitable for mature learners with a background in academic study or industry. The qualification has a clear work-related emphasis on practical skills development alongside theoretical fundamentals.

Entry requirements​

Any prior postgraduate qualification in a business related field or mature learners with relevant work experience acceptable to the college.

An honours degree (2.2) in a related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification OR mature learners with extensive management experience.

Learners must be 21 years or older at the beginning of the course

English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.

Duration and delivery
​
The qualification may be completed over a minimum period of 6 months using a blended learning approach. Students will typically complete in 9 months.

Awarding Body
​
Students who successfully complete this programme will receive an OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership and a Master of Business Administration award from Buckinghamshire New University.
On successful completion of stage 1 students receive the Level 7 Diploma award from which they leverage on to the dissertation phase only MBA at the university.
