BA (HONS) BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
(ADVANCED ENTRY)

Overview
​

Our BA (Hons) in Business Management equips students with the expertise to understand the changing world of business on a national and global scale. Those who are successful in achieving this degree are highly sought after by employers for their in-depth knowledge of current business practice and for their ability to analyse business challenges and explore solutions. This programme aims to:

  • provide a coherent, broad based programme of study of business organisations and their management within the context of a changing external environment;

  • develop self-aware, reflective students who take responsibility for their own learning and demonstrate a responsibility to fellow learners;

  • develop a range of intellectual and practical skills that will enable graduates to add-value within the workplace;

  • provide assessment and project-based tasks that allows students to apply knowledge and skills appropriately within an authentic context;

  • provide the educational foundation that is relevant to further study and life-long learning;

  • create a learning environment where professional standards are expected, but at the same time recognises that learning is challenging, and appropriate support is provided both by staff and fellow learners for career development.

Entry requirements​
​
  • Applicants for Direct Entry to this top-up programme will be expected to have 240 credits or equivalent gained on a business-related programme such as Foundation Degree, HND or Advanced Diploma acceptable to the college.

  • Mature students without formal qualifications, but with appropriate experience, may be admitted to the course in-line with the University’s admission statement regarding mature students.

  • Students whose first language is not English will be required to show some evidence of appropriate English language proficiency

  • Mature students will also need to demonstrate how they will benefit from the programme through the submission of a personal statement.

Duration and delivery
​

The qualification may be completed over a minimum period of 12 months using a blended learning approach. Students will typically complete in 15 months.

Study On Campus (International): £12000

*Fees are paid in 3 equal instalments

* Module exemptions for students, if applicable, may be given towards stage 1 of the programme following an assessment of that student’s prior learning (whether certificated or un-certificated).

Awarding Body

​

Students completing this programme will receive a Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management and a BA (Hons) Business Management award from Buckinghamshire New University.
